Prevention Services to Children and Teenagers gets a Boost

Thanks to all the folks who bought a “It shouldn’t hurt to be a child” specialty license plate. The Children’s Advocacy Center received $20, 000 from the Governor’s Office to provide critical educational outreach services to children in southern Arizona. Our curriculum to day cares and schools address issues such as personal and internet safety, and education about violence. Our middle school program, ” Too Good for Violence” teaches children conflict resolution, communication and anger management. Of the $25 license plate price, $17 goes directly to primary prevention efforts.
