The Children’s Advocacy Center of Southern Arizona is Growing Up!

It is hard to believe that we have been in our beautiful building for almost four years! The changes to the outside of the building are reflective of the growth the Center has experienced over the past years. Several Executive Directors from other child advocacy centers toured our Center recently, and commented on the peacefulness and welcoming feeling of our facility. We are so grateful to those that made this special building a reality- our Board of Directors, our generous Capitol Campaign donors and Angel Charities, who made the medical suite a reality. The citizens of Pima County and southern Arizona should be proud they have made the welfare and care of abused children a priority in our community.

But, like many of the children we see here, the Children’s Advocacy Center has had to grow up fast and learn to deal with the realities of the horrors of child abuse. Our staff of interviewers, advocates and medical staff are dealing with a 25% increase in the number of cases seen at the Center so far this year; in fact over 115 children were interviewed just in the month of August. Funding is more difficult to come by, and we rely more and more on our corporate partners. Please take the time to read our list of supporters, and do what you can to support them. They are truly our heroes and help us provide the services and care our little ones deserve.

And speaking of being a hero-please consider your end of year tax credit donation now, before the hectic holiday season begins. You can make your donation through the website by hitting the “donate” button.

Thank you to everyone who supported us through the infant and crawling stages- we need your help now more than ever. And now that we are up and running (literally sometimes) we are looking for new friends to support us… won’t you consider being a part of our future?
