JTED Students Win First Place

High school students from Pima County JTED’s Law and Public Safety program won first place in a statewide Skills USA Competition.

The Southern Arizona’s Children’s Advocacy Center worked with the student’s to teach them how to present the “Happy Bear” body safety curriculum. Working with officers and detectives from the Tucson Police Department, the students, Linda and Lucas from the SACAC dressed as Happy Bear presented to several elementary classes. As well as winning first place in the competition, the students from JTED will take the project to nationals this summer.
