Mark your calendars- SACAC’s 5th Annual Charity Golf Tournament is just a few months away! Please join us on Sunday, September 17, 2017 at The Omni Tucson National Resort, 2727 W. Club Drive, to help support the mission of Southern Arizona Children’s Advocacy Center.
Our Guest Speaker this year will be the American professional golfer, Don Pooley! Pooley attended the University of Arizona and turned pro in 1973. He is probably best remembered for his extraordinary million-dollar hole-in-one at the 1987 Bay Hill Classic where he received $500,000 and another $500,000 went to the Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children and Women in Orlando, FL. Pooley’s accomplishments include winning the 1980 B.C. Open and the 1987 Memorial Tournament and winning the Vardon Trophy. After taking several years off, Pooley began playing on the Champions Tour in 2001. In 2002, he won on the biggest stage in men’s senior golf in the U.S. Open. He now lives in Tucson, AZ where he continues to be involved in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and the PGA Tour Bible study group.
