SACAC is honored to be one of 17 recipients of this Year’s Child Abuse Prevention License Plate 2017 Grant Celebration. The awards ceremony was held on August 17th at The Arizona Republic offices in downtown Phoenix. The program was created through a partnership among The Republic/azcentral, the Arizona Community Foundation and the Governor’s Office of Youth, Faith and Family, and has awarded more than $9 million since it started in 1999. The funds awarded to SACAC will go towards our Prevention and Education Outreach Program, which teaches children (pre-school through high school) how to prevent abuse and how to reach out if abuse is happening in the home, along with internet safety, bullying, and mandatory reporting training for adults.
